Our 19th year and the an incredible month of May . . . a pleasant evening in Lexington, too bad the rain got us in Morganton, but the Blue Crab Festival was killer. Pineville, Piedmont Town Center and Ballantyne Village . . . all Charlotte events and it's nice to be playing around the home base.
BUT the one, we keep hearing about was the Sunday May 23 at HOTO's in Cherry Grove!!! This one was truly one for the books. Eddy's voice was TOTALLY shot, so we changed the whole gig around and with the help of some fine patrons, a little rain and a few tequila shots . . . it was a classic (or that's what they tell us!)
Just got a call today from a friend at the beach who heard RED SUNGLASSES on 94.9 The Surf . . . pretty cool since it's been out, almost a year. We've enjoyed seeing folks bring out and put on their RED SUNGLASSES when we play the song.
Gettin' ready for a good run through the July 4 celebrations . . . . . we'll be trying extra hard to top the HOTO's gig!!! Come see us!

Great weekend at the beach on Feb 5, 6 &7. The Marlin, satrted the weekend fun on Friday . . . lots of hard rain, but the party animals that made it, were jammin pretty hard w/us. On Saturday, The Concord Reunion (SOB) @ The OD Arcade, was pretty cool, nothing but a good time with the 60's & 70's classes . . . felt right at home. And Harold's on Super Bowl Sunday . . . . 2nd set was one for the books . . . celebrated Terry (Harry?? LOL)'s birthday w/Jack Black and some craziness, that we haven't seen in quite a while.

The New Year's Party @ The University Hilton was GREAT. Tentative plans are to do it again in 2011!! In 2009, we played MORE dates than ever, thank you!! 2010 is shaping up and we hope to see you guys with some new songs we've been working on! Gettin' ready for a wild "beach weekend" Feb 5,6 & 7 . . . . road trip, anyone?

October 1, 2009 GREAT NEWS!! - We just found out this week that "ONE MORE NIGHT", a song from our "Red Sunglasses" CD has been nominated for a Cammy Award in the "Collaboration or Duo" category.
Tim Clark is our special guest, lead vocalist, on this tune. Thanks to all everyone associated with the Beach Music Awards for this consideration!!

First, to all our friends who made the trip to Harrah's in Cherokee last Friday, thanks, but that 2 hour rain soaked us pretty well, as you know . . . wish we could have played but it was too chancy w/the electronics . . . we got lucky by playing Wayneo's in Hickory the next day, where we arrived early afternoon, unloaded in the parkling lot and got EVERYTHING dried out with a little help from some good sunshine, electric fans & phillips head screwdrivers!!
The Saturday night was probably the best we've had @ Wayneo's . . . so good, he's gonna have us back on July 25 (we had a cancellation)! Wayneo's . . . it's not just a gig, it's an experience!!

This week it goes out to ALL of the Beach DJ's & radio stations, so we need your help again . . . . if you listen to beach radio, make a call or send a mail, to request our tune. If you're at a party with a DJ, ask him to give it a spin.
Judy's Records in Ocean Drive SC, is the first outlet to actually stock the new CD's and during the next week we'll also begin the process of online purchasing and downloads . . . until then, you've gotta come out, see the band and pick up your very own RED SUNGLASSES CD and the Real Red Sunglasses, too!!
