TOO MUCH SYLVIA will play something that everyone can enjoy. Their onstage antics and personalities will touch all.   By NOT working from a “setlist”, 2MS has the ability to pace the song selection and provoke audience interaction to reach a peak at the right moment. 

Having developed a loyal following of friends & fans sporting their RED SUNGLASSES and singing along to the band’s songs, 2MS attracts good crowds in the Carolina's also reaching into Virginia.  2MS with their 3-time, CBMA “Group of the Year” honors, continues to generate even more fans through terrestrial radio and internet airplay with the success of ELEVEN, #1 songs including FIVE, "CBMA Songs of the Year" and FOUR, “Smoothies of the Year”, since 2014. 

     FESTIVALS, INDEPENDENCE DAY, MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATIONS & AFTER FIVES - 2MS’s recent addition of an 9’ video wall has allowed them to present a very touching Tribute to the Men and Women serving our country, Veterans, and all Americans. The videos are synchronized with the live show for many other songs in their repertoire too, only adding to the entertainment value. Event sponsors can also be added to this presentation. THEATERS & CONCERTS - The new “A Jukebox Playin’ 45’s” show features an entertaining 90 minutes of songs, “that we all grew up with”, from the 60's through the 80s complete with quick change dressups. “Special guests” can include ZZ Topp, Village People, Pit Bull, Boy George, Four Seasons. The Lettermen, etc. Lots of humor, interaction, a couple of their popular songs and even a patriotic 5 minutes, with the “sound” and personality to entice the audience to participate. Complete with video, the show is a perfect, classy yet cool addition to theater and and arts concerts and subscription series.

      Having worked many FUNDRAISER events through the years, 2MS understands many of the emotional ties that the supporters and patrons experience.  With regard to these feelings, the band can pace the evening accordingly.  Their interaction, and song selection, will help the flow of the event and close with positive response from all the attendees.  Having lots of experience in working with the different types of auctions and other on-site fund-raising activities, the band can easily adapt to your situation.

     CORPORATE and COMPANY type functions can demand more of a theme and structured format, which TOO MUCH SYLVIA enjoys being a part of the creative process.  As the evening progresses, the band can easily provide all types of dance/party music handling most requests with ease.

     For WEDDING RECEPTIONS With over 500 receptions to their credit, feel comfortable in knowing that the band can easily adapt to song requests and special moments that always just, "happen".

TOO MUCH SYLVIA is:

Steve Long, the primary lead vocalist, also plays guitar. In 2020 & 2023 he won the prestigious Male Vocalist of the Year w/the Carolina Beach Music Association.

Eddy Howie covers the bass guitar duties and because of his natural high singing abilities, he’s able to sing the songs from the Jersey Boys to Journey! In November of 2025 Eddy will be inducted into The Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame.

Drummer Don Leonard works the solid groove with Eddy, while he flashes a smile, providing a great feel to keep the audience moving.

Rick Lee is the keyboardist who steps out front occasionally to get the crowd involved and sing a few R&R songs. Individually, he has been honored w/6 Songwriter and 5 Producer of the Year Awards from the Carolina Beach Music Association where he is a member of the Hall of Fame.

Their vocal blend and harmonies are, really . . . a major part of the 2MS sound.  Combine all the above, with their tight, tasteful musical arrangements and it’s a presentation that is appealing to dancers and listeners at a comfortable sound level for everyone.
